- Make ready 1 bowl basmati rice
- Get 1 1/2 bowl of water
- Take 4 tbsp butter

- Get 1 onion for cooking rice +1 onion for garnishing

- Make ready 6-8 strands saffron soaked in 2 tsp water
- Make ready 1 tsp MDH biryani masala
Steps to make Garlic Butter Rice:
- Wash peel and chop onions and garlic. Grate tomato and make puree.
- Wash and Soak rice in water for 30 minutes. In a separate bowl soak saffron strands in 2 tb spoon water.
- Heat 1 tsp Cooking oil and 2 tsp butter in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped garlic and saute for 1 minute. Now add chopped onions and fry till golden brown colour.
- Add tomato puree and saute for 1 minute. Now add soaked rice, salt, red chilli powder, all whole masale biryani masala and saute for 1 minute. Now add water and stir. Pressure cook till ist whistle and then switch off the flame.
- Release the pressure and open the lid.
- Now in a separate pan heat 1 tb spoon butter and 1 tsp Cooking Oil and fry chopped onions till golden. These fried onions will be used to garnish garlic rice.
- In a karahi heat 1 tsp butter. Now add soaked saffron strands and then add cooked rice. Stir well and mix. Garnish with fried onions and coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with curd or pickle.
