- For rice:- wash the rice in 2 cups of water and cook until done. Strain so that no water is left
- Mean while soak urad dal and chana dal in water for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water from the dals and set aside.
- Collect all ingredients for rice.
- Once the rice is cool down. Then add the salt and lemon juice and mix well until combined and set it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
- Add the soaked and drained dal to the pan. Saute until they turn light golden brown.
- Add the peanuts and saute until golden brown.
- Now add the curry leaves and chilli and saute for few seconds.
- Then add the haldi powder, hing and mix well.
- Now add cooked rice and mix all the seasoning well with the rice. Adjust salt and lemon juice to taste at this point.
- For curd:- collect all ingredients for curd and mix well.
- Mix mango and pickle masala and mix well.
